The role

We are hiring an AI / ML Engineer in Bengaluru to build and automate machine learning pipelines. The role is in the office, full-time, for candidates with 5 to 15 years of experience and a notice period of up to 90 days.

The engineer will understand machine learning requirements and build ML workflows. Much of the work is automating ML pipelines, including scheduling, monitoring, status notifications and resilience. The engineer will work closely with analysts, data engineers, data scientists and visualization developers so that pipelines fit the full solution. The day also includes writing robust, maintainable code, supporting reusable Python packages and libraries, and writing clear documentation for building and running ML workflows. The engineer will investigate and resolve production issues, take part in code reviews, and guide other engineers. Work follows Agile ceremonies such as Scrum or Kanban.

We are looking for significant experience in building ML pipelines with Python and its ML libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn. The candidate should be strong in object-oriented Python and in developing applications. Experience with ML pipelines on a cloud platform is essential, and GCP experience is preferred, though experience on other similar cloud platforms is also relevant. The candidate should know CI/CD tools such as GitHub Workflows and orchestration frameworks such as Airflow. Good written and verbal communication is needed to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Useful extras include GenAI models, deep learning, neural networks, chatbots, image processing, and reusable Python packages.

Must have

• Must have skills: Machine Learning Operations
• Advanced Python programming like working with OOPs concepts
• packages in the Python ML ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
• developing ML pipelines in the cloud (GCP preferred, but other similar platforms would also provide relevant experience)
• strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Github Workflows
• orchestration frameworks such as Airflow
• Agile software development experience such as Kanban and Scrum
